Arthroscopic Distal Clavicle Excision (Mumford)

Arthroscopic distal clavicle excision is the removal of the distal portion of the clavicle using an arthroscope. The procedure may be used to treat shoulder pain caused by the edges of the clavicle and the shoulder blade rubbing against each other. This can occur in conditions such as degenerative arthritis, posttraumatic arthritis and distal clavicle osteolysis.
