Arthroscopic Percutaneous Skeletal Fixation of Femoral Head
The hip joint is a ball-and-socket joint. A part of the pelvis bone known as the acetabulum forms the socket and the upper end of the femur, known as the femoral head, forms the ball. Femoral head fracture associated with hip dislocation is relatively rare but very severe injury. Due to its severity and the need of joint exposure for the reduction of femoral head fracture, the surgical treatment is associated with many complications. Percutaneous screw fixation for the femoral head fracture shows excellent result with no acute complication. Arthroscopic percutaneous screw fixation for the femoral head fracture is recommended.
