Non MAKO Procedures
Standard Total Knee Replacement
Total knee replacement, also called total knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure in which the worn out or damaged surfaces of the knee joint are removed and replaced with artificial parts.
Standard Total Hip Replacement Anterior Approach
Direct Anterior Hip Replacement is a minimally invasive hip surgery to replace the hip joint without cutting through any muscles or tendons. Traditional hip replacement involves cutting major muscles to access the hip joint. Normally, after a traditional hip replacement, your surgeon would give you instructions on hip precautions to allow the cut muscles to heal.
Standard Total Hip Replacement Posterior Approach
Posterior hip replacement is a minimally invasive hip surgery performed to replace the hip joint. It is also referred to as muscle-sparing surgery because no muscles are cut to access the hip joint, enabling a quicker return to normal activity.
Total Shoulder Replacement
Total shoulder replacement surgery is performed to relieve these symptoms. In this surgery, the damaged articulating parts of the shoulder joint are removed and replaced with artificial prostheses. Replacement of both the humeral head and the socket is called a total shoulder replacement.
Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement
Reverse total shoulder replacement, is an advanced surgical technique specifically designed for rotator cuff tear arthropathy, a condition where the patient suffers from both shoulder arthritis and a rotator cuff tear.
Shoulder Resurfacing
The shoulder being an active joint is prone to injuries and may also get affected by conditions such as arthritis, which results in impaired functioning and related discomfort. The traditional method of treatment for such conditions is shoulder joint replacement. However, advances in technology have resulted in a superior alternative technique known as shoulder resurfacing.
