Platelet Rich Plasma Procedure
PRP preparation is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure that typically takes less than an hour in your doctor's office.
Before PRP use, your doctor will first identify whether you are a good candidate for PRP. You should inform your doctor of any medications you are taking.
During PRP use, your blood will be drawn and processed, and your platelets will be concentrated. Your doctor may apply an anesthetic and utilize specialized instruments when using your own high-concentrated PRP.
After PRP use, you may experience soreness, pain, and swelling associated with your procedure. Talk to your doctor about what to expect and steps you can take to help minimize potential side effects. A follow-up appointment may be scheduled for your doctor to monitor your progress.
