Repair of Cartilage Defect Medial/Lateral Femoral Condyle, Medial/Lateral Tibial Plateau, Patella/Trochlea

The cartilage is a soft tissue that lines the ends of bones in a joint and act as a cushion to allow friction-free movement of the joint. Cartilage defects in the medial or lateral femoral condyle located in the thighbone, medial or lateral tibial plateau of the shinbone and the patella or trochlea region located in the thighbone may include:

  1. Microfracture
  2. Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation also called Cartilage Implantation
  3. Osteochondral Autograft Transfer
  4. Autologous Matrix-Induced Chondrogenesis

These surgeries will be performed by skilled surgeons as per the patient’s needs and the choice of treatment varies from patient to patient.
